The insurance company has finally approved the complete estimate from Gartside (diesel shop) and parts are on order. It is scheduled to be completed before I am out on the coast in late Feb for a robotics competition. I will use that trip to do engine test drive,etc.
In other news, I think I had mentioned that the Blue Water Cruising association gave me an offshore award for my trip to Hawaii; it took a year to get here, but I have it. Supposedly I also ‘earned’ the trophy for the longest time to Hawaii, but I”ve not seen that.
I will be posting videos from the “summer of no sailing’ showing the haul out and some boat projects. This is going slowly as I am busy with my mentoring of a middle school level robotics team.
